Hear from the Watson family as they remind us that 'God is always in control'.

What does your week look like?

The Watson week is a very busy and varied one. I work shifts and so no two weeks are the same. Euan and Jake have school to go to so have a regular routine whilst Mark is embracing student life at SERC. Mandy probably has the busiest week as she works from home running her craft business “Mandy Makes” and can often be found creating and planning well into the wee small hours. We do try and sit together for at least one dinner a week to catch up on what we are all up to. We live by the beach so any spare moment we have you will find at least one of us on the beach or in the water (usually Jake) – it is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of creation as no two days are ever the same.

What are you thankful for?

We are thankful for what God has given us – we have a house in a beautiful place with amazing family and friends around us. We are aware that Covid-19 has caused job worries for a lot of people but we are thankful that my job has carried on throughout and Mandy has been able to adapt her business to the ever changing regulations. We have had some major changes in our lives over the last few years but God has blessed us and been by our side throughout guiding us and caring for us.

What is God teaching you these days?

We are learning to trust and rely on him with everything in our lives. Covid-19 has seen many changes and it is easy to worry and be anxious about life, work and family. One motto we always have is that “God is in control” and no matter how bad things seem we have the most awesome and amazing God to be by our side. He knows our worries and concerns and every day when we look out at the beautiful Ballyholme Bay it is awesome to know that if our creator God can make that he can overcome any worries or trouble we have.
