Hear from Kerry as she shares with us about persisting in prayer. Let's be encouraged to come to our Father and ask because He cares about every detail of our lives!

What does your week look like?

Each week looks a bit different as I (Kerry) am working in a restaurant in Bangor and my shifts vary each week. It’s a busy place and every few weeks we adapt to the Covid restrictions so it keeps me on my toes!

What are you thankful for?

I’m thankful for God’s generosity and providence as I’m blessed to still have a full time job and I’m moving into my own place at the end of the month! An exciting (and a little scary) time during the pandemic but I’m grateful and excited for this new chapter.

What is God teaching you these days?

I’m doing a 40 day prayer challenge with a couple of friends and it’s been so encouraging. It’s called ‘Draw the Circle’ and it’s reminding me of the importance of persisting in prayer!
At one stage the writer Mark Batterson asks, “What if the Israelites had stopped circling Jericho on day six? For that matter, what if Elijah has quit praying for rain on his sixth request? Or what if Naaman had only dipped in the river six times? The miracle would have been forfeited right before it happened.” This really blew my mind. The miracle was all God, but the people who received the miracle persisted and kept up their end of the bargain! The story could have been very different.
He also says, “The greatest tragedy in life is the prayers that go unanswered simply because they go unasked.”
So let’s ask!
