Our Annual General Vestry Meeting, which was postponed at Easter, will now take place in the Worship Area on Wednesday 14th October at 7.30pm. At this meeting, registered members of the General Vestry hear about our vision and strategy, pray together and appoint new office bearers, e.g., Select Vestry members and Church Wardens. (We will also be appointing Parochial Nominators and Diocesan Synods People – something that is carried out every three years). It is hoped that there will be another General Vestry at Easter 2021, so the newly appointed Select Vestry will serve approximately five months. For that reason, and also due to the current safety guidelines, it is permissible at this upcoming General Vestry to appoint the Select Vestry as a group with a few amendments, rather than conduct standard elections with election papers. This would be our intention and it seems that we have members willing to fulfil these roles. If you would like to nominate a person for a role, then please contact Nigel by 4th October, (firstname.lastname@example.org). Please sign up to come to the General Vestry Meeting by clicking the button below. The same safety procedures that are adhered to at our Sunday morning worship service will be in place.
